Tour at RCMP
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is the Canadian national
police service and an agency of the Ministry of Public Safety
Canada. The RCMP is unique in the world since it is a national,
federal, provincial and municipal policing body. They provide a
total federal policing service to all Canadians and policing
services under contract to the three territories, eight provinces
(except Ontario and Quebec), more than 190 municipalities, 184 Aboriginal
communities and three international airports.
On December 16, 2009 HDI Ottawa's members and guests are invited to tour the
RCMP Central Help Desk facility at 1200 Vanier Parkway, Ottawa, ON K1A 0R2.


RCMP facilities are located at 1200 Vanier Parkway (across from Jet Form park). Travelling from the
east on the Queensway you exit at the Vanier Parkway an head north (bear right). As soon as you enter
the Vanier Parkway bear left to get into the left lane at the first set of lights, turn left to enter the RCMP
Campus. For those travelling from the west on Queensway exit at the Vanier Parkway and head north
(left turn at the lights). At the second set of lights, turn left to enter the RCMP Campus.
Inform the guard that you are attending a meeting with Bill MacLeod in the CIO building. Parking has
been pre-arranged for you in section 1065. You must report to the main building called Nicholson to
obtain your parking pass. Once you pass the guard house, you turn left at the first stop. The first building
on your left (with the Buffalo head) is the Nicholson building.
Once you have your parking passes and have parked your vehicles, please report to the commissionaire at
the CIO building to obtain your building passes.
A representative will meet our guests at the Nicholson building.
